Moving day becomes easier when the decisions are made before the vehicle arrives. This checklist focuses on the parts that keep loading safe and make stored belongings easy to find later.
One week before
Confirm your unit size, access hours, route, vehicle height, and loading arrangements. Finish an inventory, gather matching boxes, and separate anything you cannot place in storage.
The day before
Label boxes on at least two sides, disassemble suitable furniture, attach hardware bags, charge phones, and pack a small essentials kit that stays with you.
At the facility
Park only in the designated loading area, use trolleys within their limits, and keep corridors clear. Load the unit from the back, placing stable heavy items low and lighter boxes above.
Before you lock up
Photograph the final layout, check that nothing touches the door, confirm your aisle is usable, and add the lock according to the facility instructions.
After the move
Save your inventory and access details in one place. If the unit is too tight to use safely, talk to the team promptly about a more practical size.
