STORAGE OPTION
Furniture Storage
Clean, dry space for household furniture during a move, remodel, inheritance, or long trip.
Furniture lasts best in storage when it is clean, completely dry, well wrapped, and placed so that weight is carried by the parts designed to hold it.
Prepare before you wrap
Vacuum upholstery, wipe hard surfaces, and allow every item to dry. Remove shelves and legs where practical, keep fixings in labeled bags, and photograph how unusual pieces fit together.
Use breathable protection
Cover sofas and wood furniture with moving blankets or breathable furniture covers. Avoid sealing damp materials in plastic. Use mattress bags made for storage and keep mattresses flat when the manufacturer recommends it.
Plan the unit from the back
Place strong, rarely needed items first. Keep heavy boxes low, protect corners, and leave a small air gap around upholstered pieces. Do not lean fragile panels where they can bow or fall.
